It was extremely hot in the morning, but now the long-awaited rain has fallen and today’s temperature is 33℃/27℃.
Today I’d like to introduce you to the cut back that I did last Saturday the 15th.
First of all, the latest hydrangeas.
I had planned not to cut it so that it would bloom next year, but I was concerned that it had grown too large.
I saw on Instagram how to cut it into smaller pieces and make it bloom next year, so I decided to try it even if it didn’t work.
There is no before, but this is what the after looks like.
I felt quite refreshed and felt refreshed.
I guess it’s natural since I cut enough branches and leaves to fill one-third of a 45-liter garbage bag.
Well, I guess it’s okay if it doesn’t work out, but I hope he grows up in a good mood.
Next is petunia “Sakura Sakura”.
This is what it looks like after about a month after being pruned once when it was planted.
It’s growing quite a bit, but it looked like this when I bought the seedlings, so maybe this is the design.
However, it was sparse in the middle and I wanted it to branch more, so I cut it along the edge of the pot.
It would be nice to grow bigger, but I would also like it if the flowers bloomed.
This is how I realized that growth is faster in the summer, so instead of waiting for it to grow,
It may be a good idea to encourage branching by frequently cutting back or pinching the cores while displaying them.
Let’s keep adding scissors while watching the situation.
So, this series, which unexpectedly continued until part 8, is (supposedly) the end.
Summer is long, so I want to keep observing them carefully and get the tips for growing each one.
