We are currently making a final assessment and reflection on the plantings we planted from autumn in order to make use of them next year.

Next was the planting of Viola Farmers Craft.
This is what it looked like when I first planted it.

The viola was getting quite long with all its leaves, so I had to prune it quickly.

I was worried that it was not growing well after that, but it wasn’t until January that it finally started to show signs of growth.
I remember feeling relieved.
I now think I should have pruned it earlier while it was still warm and didn’t panic.

From there, it grew thick and fluffy, and by the beginning of March it looked like this.

This viola didn’t grow much, so I didn’t cut it back in the spring.

The high temperatures of April made it much taller, and I finally got the view I had hoped for.

The most beautiful time was in early April.
I can’t take pictures because there are a lot of unnecessary things on the narrow balcony,
Viewed from a distance, it was a very beautiful arrangement of plantings.

However, as a beginner in planting, my miscalculation was,
Even though it was winter, Brachycum and Karex Bronzecurl were so thick. It feels too wild.
Both Brachycam and Karex are probably five or six times more expensive than when they were purchased.

Also, the Heuchera collection (probably Palace Purple)
It didn’t work at all during the winter, and it was unexpected that it was only now getting bigger.

I wish I had seen the combination of dark leaves, mauve, and white to purple sooner.
Well, I guess that’s just for the convenience of the plants.

The viola now occupies half of the size 10 pot and is about 15cm tall.
The number of flowers increases day by day, the number of buds decreases, and the flowers become sparse.

Just a little more to the goal.
I am grateful to Viola for making so many wonderful flowers bloom, and I want to continue to care for her until the end.
And the Viola Farmer’s Craft was so wonderful in color and stocking,
I plan on getting one next year if I can find it. Recommended!

From now on, I will only pull out violas from this group of plantings.
I plan to put Super Geranium Champion “Orange” in the rear pot.
At that time, let’s sort out Karex and Brachycam.

Oh, of course the scoring is on a perfect score of 100 points.
I really enjoyed it. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

That’s why this time has become long, so I’ll continue in the second part next time.
