It’s late October, and it’s getting cooler, so
The long-awaited Nagasaki lavender “Little Mummy” was pruned in the fall.
In order to achieve the three- to five-minute cut as described, first take a picture of the whole thing.
The plant, which survived the scorching heat and produced flower buds in autumn, has grown to a total width of about 60 cm.
I put some scissors in there and it looked like this.
It’s a sturdy plant, with new sprouts peeking out from its dead tree-like roots.
This completes the pruning for the year.
Even after the summer, it seems to be doing well with lots of buds, and I’m looking forward to next year.
My favorite Nagasaki lavender “Little Mummy” has a sweet and refreshing scent.
Let’s look forward to a long relationship and take good care of it.
