Unlike yesterday, it was raining but still cool in Osaka today at 26℃/22℃.
When it was a good day for maintenance, I immediately pruned two.
First of all, Nagasaki lavender “Little Mummy”.
I pruned it once after flowering, but when the second flower opened, I added scissors.
This is what it looks like before cutting.
As per the official website, I only cut the flowers. HP is really easy to understand and I feel relieved.
This is the harvest this time. Even if it’s just a little bit, it smells so good that it’s soothing.
The flowers I cut during the last pruning are dried flowers, and I’m surprised at how good the scent lasts.
It will be watermark pruning after Obon next summer.
We want to have a long-term relationship with you, so let’s nurture it carefully.
Next is lace lavender.
Ever since my family did it half-heartedly, it hasn’t bloomed very well.
However, it has grown quite large, so I decided to make it smaller and also do watermark pruning.
This is…,
Like this.
I feel like I cut it too much, but I don’t think it will die, so it’s okay (?).
No, it’s really cut down quite a bit…I guess autumn is the best time to go this short, I’m sure.
But, it doesn’t get in the way.
I plan to collect data this year and use it for next year.
And so, that’s it for today.
It looks like it’s going to get very hot starting this weekend, so I’d like to carefully check on the plants.
