As the title suggests, I have been acquiring seedlings for this winter and next spring.
There are quite a few of them, so I’ll introduce them in the order I got them.
First up is this one, which I got in mid-October because I fell in love with the black leaves at first sight.

I had been thinking since summer that the theme colors for this winter and next spring would be pink, white, and black, and that’s when I came across this seedling.
The soft black leaves and gentle pink flowers are very cute and I love them. It even has a sweet scent.

This is my first time growing goldfish grass.
The label says it’s a cold-resistant perennial, so I’m looking forward to a long-term relationship with it.
Next, garden cyclamen.
I fell in love with an off-brand seedling at first sight at a gardening store I was passing by.
The soft pink color and leaf pattern made my eyes turn into hearts.

As a side note, all the stocks seem cute these days, which bothers me (lol).
I used to think that things with fancy colors and patterns were nice, but
Nowadays, I can’t help but feel that the simple, old-fashioned violas each have their own merits.

This one is also common, but I like this color so I’m satisfied.
I think the color will fade as the weather gets colder, so I’m looking forward to that.
I don’t feel like doing a lot of planting this year, but I think I’ll try one.
Next time, I will introduce the violas and pansies I bought for that purpose.
It’s not a particularly rare stock after all, but it’s special and important to me.
I want to cherish all of them.
