It was 28℃/22℃ today, with strong winds all day and light rain from noon.
Perhaps because the minimum temperature was high, many plants were quite dehydrated.
Meanwhile, cutting back and pruning is going on.
This time I plucked the core of a yellow petunia ‘Easy Wave’.
This is what it looked like before I put the scissors in.
Since I planted it in a size 8 pot in early May, it has been slowly growing.
Cut it and it looks like this.
Looking at it this way, I think it makes sense to pluck petunias before the rainy season.
It was just starting to grow thick,
If you leave it as it is, it will take a long time, so if you cut it now, it’s really a good time.
Of course, the flowers bloomed.
All of the plants are grown on my balcony, and I love the light and refreshing colors during this gloomy season.
Right now, I’m arranging a lot of flowers and leaves from cutting back and pinching the stems, and the house is quite lively.
Because there is a large amount, you can try out various combinations without hesitation, and even if there are no flowers and it doesn’t look that neat,
I’m glad that you realized that just putting it together quickly can make it beautiful.
I’m really enjoying balcony gardening, which is a lot of fun depending on the season.
