Geranium

In preparation for this summer’s ideal “Red Garden”,
Geranium Moonlight ‘Senbaro’ that I acquired last fall.
It grows very well and produces lots of flower buds, so I decided to add more pots.

Geranium

I was actually planning on adding more pots around April or May, but
It’s already been a month of high temperatures, so I thought it would be okay, so I tried it.

First, observe the current situation.
The head is quite big in relation to the pot.

There were so many things that couldn’t be photographed on the narrow balcony, so the photos ended up with a lot of mosaics.
But this is the easiest to understand the size, so I can’t help it~ (lol)

Geranium

This time I changed from a size 5 clay pot to a size 8 plastic pot. The aim is to increase water retention.
It grows thickly, so even when it gets hot, I’m more worried about water shortage than root rot.
However, the soil was mixed with a large amount of perlite and vermiculite.

Just taken out of the pot. The roots had turned.

Geranium

I don’t want it to get too big, so I cut off the bottom third of the roots and repot it.
After adding more pots, it seems like the balance from the roots to the top is finally right.

Geranium

I added two Euphorbia Diamondfrost plants that had survived the winter.

Geranium

As for the rest, I tried planting them first to make them bigger.
It’s quite overgrown, but I hope it grows into a solid stock.

Geranium

From the plantings I currently have,
I’ve learned that I don’t like being stuffed too tightly.
I thought it would be nice to have Euphorbia Diamondfrost together, so I planted it.
I also think it would be cute to have variegated wire plants…
Well, I guess it would be nice if I could find it.

We look forward to continued growth in the future.
