Spring is finally over, and the plants on the balcony are starting to move towards summer.
Last weekend, I finished all the maintenance I wanted to do at this timing.

First up is Super Geranium Champion “Orange”.
I planted it in a No. 4 clay pot on April 3rd, and it has grown very large.
For the past week or so, I have had to water the plants three times a day and have been paying close attention to them

So, I replanted it in a deep size 6 slit pot, which I had always wanted.

What can I say, the size 6 pot suits me so well that I would like to say that I have survived with the size 4 pot so far.
I’ve only given it water once since then, but it’s fine, so I think it’s okay.
This stock looks like it’s going to get really big, but I hope it will hold for a while.

Next is Pelargonium ‘Grand Passo Plus’ sweet pink.
Although the official website says, “When planting for the first time, use a twice-larger pot.”
I didn’t have it on hand, so I planted it in a No. 4 clay pot at first.
It’s very cute and I like it, so I decided to repot it.

The pot is the same size 6 deep slit pot as the super geranium champion “Orange”.

It feels kind of refreshing.
It also holds water well, and I’ve only fed it once since repotting, but it’s fine.
I’m glad I replanted it.

Next is Lewisia “Hanasango”.
I’ve been planting them in Hyakuyen cans since I got them last year after they finished flowering.
I was concerned about poor drainage.
Wait for the second flower to finish and repot immediately.

This time I used a clay pot, and the soil was a blend with a lot of sand.
When I used it in a can, it was too humid and the roots didn’t grow very well, so I hope things will go well this time.

This is the first time I’ve divided a Gerbera plant that’s been around for several years.
About 5 to 6 plants were packed tightly together in a No. 10 pot and I couldn’t cut them into pieces.
I tried planting the edge that just barely came off. I hope it takes root.

After that, I repotted the 3rd year Hypoestes into a slightly larger pot.

I also moved the petunia I just planted a few days ago to a larger slit pot.
I hope it grows big.

Now that I am talking about my trust in slit bowls,
I’m currently planting nasturtium seeds in five pots.
Even though the slit pot is the smallest, it retains water well and the seedlings are growing well.
It’s cheap, lightweight, doesn’t require much effort, and seems good for plants, so you can even change all the pots in your house.
All you have to do is put it in a pot that you like the way it looks. I don’t care.

However, I just bought it and it’s still summer, so the real season is just around the corner.
I’ll take a closer look and see if it’s a good fit for me.

That’s all for adding pots and repotting in early summer.
I hope everyone grows up healthy…
