Sunbritainia successfully survived the winter!
Even though it’s sunny, it’s cool in Osaka today, 20℃/9℃.
Finally, the first Sunbritainia scarlet of the year has bloomed! So,
We hereby declare that we have successfully survived the winter.
It’s been half a year since there was too little water and the leaves withered, and I had to break them off and make new buds.
The two buds from last year are now firmly rooted.
By the way, the sprouts from the end of last month have gone bad.
I think it’s because since then, there have been consecutive days where the minimum temperature was around 5 degrees Celsius.
I guess it’s easier to stick to it when it’s warm.
The stems are steadily growing towards the sunlight and are very cute.
It’s also producing a lot of buds.
For now, the leaves near the base are just a little withered, so I think it’s definitely a success.
In my case, when I wrote down the amount of watering that I had trouble with last year, now,
Even if the color of the soil doesn’t change, I feed it when the pot feels a little lighter.
It seems like I need more water than I expected, and if the maximum temperature is around 20 degrees Celsius, I’ll probably need water once every 2-3 days.
Of course, now that April has arrived, I have started applying fertilizer every month and liquid fertilizer every week.
I just love the sunshine,
I keep it in the place that gets the most sunlight in my house and where it won’t break if it hits something.
I guess that’s normal (shame).
Well, after dating for half a year, I was able to get a good feel for it, so it all overlapped.
The next six months are unknown, so I want to keep a close eye on them.
So, we made it through the winter successfully! I did it, I’m so happy!
It’s over.
